Antennas less than 65 feet, cupolas, barns, silos, farm buildings, chimneys, flues, flagpoles, water tanks, church spires, monuments, and appurtenances not exceeding distance to nearest lot line are exempt from height limits. Parapet walls may be up to 4 feet above regulated height.
- General compliance
No building or structure shall be erected or altered to exceed height/bulk, accommodate more families, occupy greater lot area, or have smaller yards than required.
- Utility equipment exemption
Poles, wires, cables, conduits, vaults, laterals, pipes, valves, meters and similar equipment for distribution to individual customers are exempt, but not wireless communications facilities, plants, substations, major transmission lines, or trunk lines.
From the ordinance
The height limitations of this article shall not apply to antennas less than 65 feet in height, cupolas, barns, silos, farm buildings, chimneys, flues, flagpoles, water tanks, church spires, and monuments and necessary appurtenances not exceeding in height the distance therefrom to the nearest lot line. Parapet walls may be up to four feet above the regulated height of the building on which the walls rest.
