Geographic extent

Design

  • Architectural style

    New development shall harmoniously blend within the HG with existing historic buildings, structures, sites, and objects. Franchise designs are unacceptable, as are unadorned 'box-like' buildings.

  • Minimum sidewalk separation from road5 ft

    There shall be a separation of a minimum of five (5) feet between the sidewalk and the edge of the road(s).

  • Tree preservation

    The preservation of trees on site shall be practiced except to accommodate ingress/egress, parking, building development, and other necessary infrastructure. Where required, street trees shall be of native species.
