Design

The height of any new wireless communications facility pole or structure shall not exceed ten vertical feet more than the maximum height allowed in the nearest adjacent zoning district.
Lighting
- Exterior lighting prohibition
Exterior lighting of freestanding facilities is prohibited unless required by FAA.
Noise
- Noise compliance
Each facility shall be operated and maintained to comply with noise standards of this code.
Other
- Abandonment period180 days
Non-operation or disuse for 180 days or more shall constitute abandonment.
- ADA compliance
All wireless communications facilities and equipment shall be built in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and traffic safety standards.
- Co-location on existing poles
Antennas in the public right-of-way shall be co-located or installed on existing utility or light poles, except when impractical or technologically infeasible.
- Contact information
Permittee shall provide city with contact information, updated within 7 days of any change.
- FCC compliance
No wireless communications facility shall generate radio frequency emissions in excess of FCC standards.
- Franchise requirement
No administrative use permit shall be issued unless the applicant is authorized to place facilities in the public right-of-way by franchise, certificate, or license.
- Graffiti removal time24 hours
Graffiti shall be removed within 24 hours from notification.
- Maintenance standard
All facilities shall be maintained in good condition, free of dirt, rust, graffiti, etc.
- Min separation in residential areas300 ft
In residential areas, wireless communications facilities shall not be located within three hundred feet of another wireless telecommunications facility.
- Performance bond
City may require a performance bond in an amount related to removal costs.
- Removal after discontinuation180 days
Facility shall be completely removed within 180 days of discontinuation of use.
- Repair time48 hours
All necessary repairs shall be completed within 48 hours after discovery or notification.
- Satellite dish >24 inches
Satellite dish antennae with diameters greater than 24 inches shall be ground-mounted, not in front yard, not within 5 feet of side/rear, max 15 ft height, not extend beyond property lines, not bright/shiny, and screened.

Satellite dish antennae with diameters of 24 inches or less shall not be installed within a required front yard or within 5 feet of any side or rear property line.
- Screening of ground-mounted equipment
Ground-mounted equipment that cannot be undergrounded shall be screened to the fullest extent possible.
- Subdued colors and non-reflective materials
Wireless communications facilities shall have subdued colors and non-reflective materials that blend in with the surrounding area.
- Undergrounding of ground-mounted equipment
Ground-mounted equipment shall be undergrounded to the extent technologically feasible.

No wireless communications facility shall generate RF emissions in excess of FCC standards. Freestanding facilities shall be located for screening, designed for co-location, no guy wires, no exterior lighting. In ROW, height not exceed 10 ft above adjacent district, 300 ft separation in residential areas, antenna max 6 ft above light pole.
