Chapter 22, Sec. 22-332 standards

No fences or other enclosures around any lots or sections in Lakeview Cemetery shall be permitted to be erected which shall be more than 12 inches high.

Sec. 14-25, Sec. 14-519 standards

It shall be unlawful for any person to keep more than four dogs... No dog house, pen or kennel shall be maintained closer than ten feet... Chickens or other fowl may not be kept within 200 feet... beehive requirements...

Sec. 30-522 standards

The limits in which storage of flammable liquids in outside aboveground tanks is prohibited, and the limits in which bulk storage of liquefied petroleum gas is restricted, are hereby established the area contained within the following bounds: Bounded on the north by Division Street; on the east by North High Street and South High Street; on the south by Irvin Street, and on the west by the right-of-way of the Norfolk and Western Railway Company.

Sec. 30-536 standards

The Town of Blackstone hereby adopts the following provision of the 2009 Virginia Statewide Fire Prevention Code. This section shall apply to newly constructed commercial buildings or structures, newly constructed industrial buildings or structures and to newly constructed multifamily residential structures that have restricted access through locked doors and have a common corridor for access to the living units. ... Where access to or within a structure or an area is restricted because of secured openings or where immediate access is necessary for life-saving or fire-fighting purposes, the fire code official is authorized to require a Knox Box be installed in an approved location not to exceed three to five feet off the ground.

Sec. 38-41 standards

The owner of any home, business, apartment, factory or any other building shall properly display a house number. These numbers must be at least three inches in height and must be displayed so as to be clearly visible from the street in front of the building.

Sec. 38-46(d)2 standards

The use of shotguns and rifles of less than .23 caliber and bows and arrows to hunt in compliance with state law shall be permitted on tracts of land of 50 acres or more, in agricultural zones.

Sec. 38-476 standards

The discharge of archery equipment for the taking of deer inside the town boundaries may occur on parcels of private property which in combination total three or more acres with written permission from the property owners... No person shall discharge a bow within 100 yards of any dwelling, building, street, sidewalk, alley or roadway.

Sec. 38-494 standards

The outdoor fired furnace shall be located in compliance with side, rear and front setbacks required by the Town of Blackstone's zoning ordinance. All outdoor fired furnaces shall be at a minimum 50 feet to the nearest occupied structure not served by the furnace.
