Floodplain
- No encroachment in floodway
In the floodway district, no encroachments, including fill, new construction, substantial improvements, or other development shall be permitted unless it has been demonstrated through hydrologic and hydraulic analyses that the proposed encroachment would not result in any increase in the 100-year flood elevation.
Other
- Electrical installations above flood level
All electric water heaters, electric furnaces, and other critical electrical installations shall be permitted only at elevations at or above the level of the 100-year flood.
- Floodproofing required
All uses, activities, and structural development shall be undertaken in strict compliance with the flood-proofing provisions contained in all other applicable codes and ordinances.
