General provisions

Sec. 4-9065 standards

Shooting range: fenced, sheriff approval, min 300 ft from firing point to property line, 200 ft with backstop, 100 ft from adjoining property.

Sec. 4-9064 standards

Minimum distance from firing point to nearest property line 300 ft, 200 ft with backstop, and no firing point within 100 ft of adjoining property line.

Sec. 4-9076 standards

Turkey shoot: min site 3 acres, firing line 100 ft from public road, 600 ft to adjacent property, shotguns only, no discharge 9:30pm-7am, permit 60 days.

Sec. 4-9075 standards

A turkey shoot shall be on a site of not less than three acres. Firing line at least 100 ft from public road, 600 ft to adjacent property, shotguns only, hours 7am-9:30pm, permit 60 days.

Sec. 4-9084 standards

Windmills: setback 40% of height from residential, in R-1/R-2 max 60 ft by right, >60 ft require special exception, in other districts max 125 ft by right, >125 ft require special exception, multiple windmills require CUP.

Sec. 4-908B4 standards

Windmills on structures of less than 125 feet shall be permitted by right. Windmills on structures of 125 feet or greater shall require a special exception permit.

Sec. 4-908C4 standards

Windmills on structures of less than 60 feet shall be permitted by right. Windmills on structures of 60 feet or greater shall require a special exception permit.

Sec. 5-4041 standards

A Type A buffer yard shall only be required for all commercial and industrial use types when a single-family residence is located on an adjacent lot within 100 feet of the property boundary.

A name plate or directional sign, limited in area to two square feet... No trespassing or no hunting signs... limited in area to four square feet. Signs of a noncommercial nature... provided the area of the sign does not exceed 32 square feet.

Sec. 5-604 A.6.a.iii1 standards

Signs in Agricultural Rural (AR) and Agricultural Limited (AL) zoning districts shall not exceed 16 square feet in size and six feet in height.
